At Hawkwind, our commitment is to craft the perfect event that will reveal the essence and true character of leadership, interdependence and cooperative problem solving within your staff or group to activate and promote a healthy environment. We create each challenge course and workshop to meet the specific goals and outcomes as defined by your group. In addition, we provide consultation to assist in identifying specific developmental needs your group might require.
After this consultation and based on your group's needs, a course and training is designed which consists of both a didactic presentation and activities which highlight and integrate materials specifically targeted for your participants.
Each step of our training is dedicated to recognizing the unique identity and style of each participant and what they bring to the collective experience. We then craft fun and challenging experiences to identify and reveal targeted areas for social enhancement and personal or professional growth.
Our presentations emphasize communication processes that accentuate trust and clarity in situations where clarity is difficult to articulate.
Our curriculum of activities allows team members to develop a group dynamic in an informal environment that can easily be generalized to a classroom, group, or workplace environment.
Interdependence and cooperation are underlined as we examine the "unconscious" material of the group, ie power and control dynamics, affiliations and coalition building, and how to improve performance under stress.
We will explore the planning process from snap decisions to systematic view points, with a focus on developing a strategic win/win.
The underlying approach and theory of experiential learning and process-orientated training, as we apply it, is to construct an environment free of hierarchy and competence which allows leadership characteristics to emerge organically without defenses.
The activities are designed to unveil communication patterns and relationships, leadership styles, motivation of long established work groups, conflict resolution dynamics or any issues which are impacting the desired outcome or potential of a group.
Each activity is debriefed in small groups, giving participants the opportunity to share their observation of the process as it unfolds. These are guided discussions which highlight task function and the process issues as they unfold.
